Today I’m going to show you how to contact Lyft customer service by phone as quickly as possible.
Don’t get too excited though, apparently getting in touch with the ridesharing company using the phone number you’ll find listed on most websites is not as easy or reliable as you might think.
Well, it may be easy, because all you really have to do is dial a phone number and then press some buttons to talk to a live rep.
But it is definitely not the best way to contact a Lyft customer service agent. Honestly, you will probably end up wasting of lot of time waiting for your call to get through, and when your call finally gets answered, you will have to wait a little longer for it to be transferred to the right expert.
Not mention that the call might get disconnected automatically for no apparent reason, forcing you to dial again and go through all the prompts at least one more time. Having to repeat the entire process one or several more times every time your call gets dropped is definitely not the way to go, and certainly not worth the hassle.
Just so you know, there are other ways to contact Lyft that are far better, quicker, and even easier than making a phone call, which, as mentioned earlier, most people consider a total waste time.
I’ve even heard some customers go as far as calling the company’s helpline useless, but I would never say something like that because that helpline has served me very well in the past.
Don’t worry, though, because I will show you the most effective, as well as the easiest and fastest ways to contact Lyft at the bottom of this page.
Although direct calling is my personal favorite way of getting in touch with most companies, and probably the best way to get good customer service from most them, it is definitely not the case with Lyft.
Sure it can be done, there is a phone number you can call that actually works, and if you’re keen in using this particular method we can help you, simply follow the steps below and you’ll be talking to a real person in no time.
In fact, to make things even easier for you, we went ahead and called the company using the only available phone number known to man, and we also tried out several different shortcuts to see which ones work best. By best, I mean, which ones will get you a real human being faster on the line.
Also, I want to add, that this whole time I’ve been talking about how hard it is for passengers (riders) and perhaps even applicants to get help via phone.
For Drivers, calling Lyft and getting in touch with someone at the company quickly is actually a lot easier, because obviously drivers need special assistance in case they get into an accident, or if they get robbed, or something like that.
If you’re a driver, you can use the emergency phone number that’s available for drivers only. To get a hold of that number, you’ll need to access your Lyft driver dashboard, simply log in to your account at Lyft.com or through the app to get it from there.
Lyft Phone Number: How to Talk to a Real Person Right Now
Well, all you have to do is dial the number below, and then use the shortcuts and tips we’ve listed to save some extra time:
- Dial 1-855-865-9553
- Press “2”.
- Press “3”.
The expected waiting time can vary depending on the day and time you call, but on average it can take from 5 to 10 minutes for your call to get answered.
Unfortunately, sometimes the call gets disconnected without any reason at all. If this ever happens, my advice to you is be patient and persistent, if your call gets automatically cut, dial that number again, and then again, and then some more, until you finally get someone on the line.
Another very effective way of contacting Lyft is by taking advantage of the “Call Me” feature, which can be accessed like this:
- Go to this page.
- Scroll down to where it says “Need Something Else?” and click on the pink “Call Me” button.
- Enter your phone number in the “Phone Number” field located right below where it says “Please enter the phone number where we can currently reach you”.
- Click on the “Call Me” button one more time.
- Now simply wait for a customer service agent to call you back.
You can also use this method to reach the critical response line, but instead of scrolling down to where it says “Need Something Else?”, use the “Call Me” button located below where it says “Reporting an Accident, Safety Incident or Citation”.
However, you should only use the critical response line if you get into an accident, if an issue threatens your personal safety, or if you receive a citation.
The critical response line is available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, and they will call as soon as they can.
Lyft also recommends calling 911 if it’s necessary, so don’t forget to do that if you get into a serious accident or any other issue that requires you to contact the authorities.
Although this is isn’t the best way to contact Lyft customer service, it is the best way to get in touch with them by phone.
The best way to contact Lyft is through the company’s Help Center and you can learn how to do that here.
